குழந்தைகளையும் குடும்பங்களையும் நிர்வாகிப்பதற்கான அமைப்பு அமெரிக்க அரசின் சுகாதாரம் மற்றும் மனித சேவைகளுக்கான துறையின் ஒரு அங்கம். 49 பில்லியன் டாலர் நிதியில், குழந்தைகள், இளைஞர்கள் மற்றும் குடும்பங்களைக் குறியிலக்காகக் கொண்டு 60 திட்டங்களை இத்துறை செயல்படுத்துகிறது. நலத்திட்டங்கள், குழந்தைகள் நலனுக்கான பல்வேறு திட்டங்களின் அமலாக்கம், குழந்தைகளைத் தத்தெடுக்க உதவி, குழந்தைகளை அணைத்தாதரித்துப் பேண வளர்ப்புப் பெற்றோரை ஏற்பாடு செய்தல், குழந்தைககளை நெறியற்ற வகையில் நடத்துவதைத் தடுத்தல் என்று பல செயல்பாடுகள் இந்தத் துறையின் பொறுப்புக்கள்.

Administration for Children and Families (ACF). An organization within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), created in 1986 through a consolidation of federal programs to aid low-income families. The six major programs included in ACF are Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC), the Work Incentive program (WIN), the Community Services Block Grant Program, the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance program, the Refugee Assistance program, and the U.S. Office of Child Support Enforcement. ACF is one of the major units of HHS, which also includes the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA), the Office of Human Development Services (OHDS), the U.S. Public Health Service, and the Social Security Administration (SSA).
