குழந்தையின் உள்ளங்கால்களை வருடும்போது பெருவிரல் மேல்நோக்கியும் பிற கால் விரல்கள் கீழ்நோக்கி விரியும் தன்னிச்சையான எதிர்வினை. குழந்தை வளரவளர, கீழ்நோக்கிச் சுருளும். அப்படிச் சுருளாத பட்சத்தில் அது நரம்புக் கோளாறின் அறிகுறியாக இருக்கவாய்ப்புண்டு.

An automatic response in infants in which the toes extend and spread out when the sole of the foot is gently stroked. As the infant's nervous system matures, the same type of stroke tends to result in the toes curling downward.
