குழந்தைகளுக்கு ஏற்படும் மனநோய், மனப்போராட்டம், மனவளர்ச்சிக் குறைபாடு, தவறான நடத்தைப்பாங்கு போன்றவற்றிற்கு பயிற்சி பெற்ற நிபுணர்களைக் கொண்டு சிகிச்சை அளித்தல். இந்த உளச்சிகிச்சையானது, பொதுவான உளச்சிகிச்சை முறைகளை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டிருந்தாலும், குழந்தைகளுக்குப் பொருந்தும் வகையில் அதிக விளையாட்டுகள் கொண்டதாகவும், சிறு குழுக்களைக் கொண்டதாகவும், அனுசரணையுடன் நல்வழிப்படுத்துவதாகவும் இருக்கும்.
