ஒரு செயலிற்கும் அதன் விளைவுகளுக்கும் ஒன்றுக்கு மேற்பட்ட நபர்கள் அல்லது அமைப்புகளைப் பொறுப்பாக்குவது. உதாரணமாக ஓரிடத்தில் பெய்யும் அமிலமழைக்கு அப்பிராந்தியத்தில் செயல்படும், அதிகப் புகையை வெளிவிடும் நிறுவனங்கள் பொறுப்பேற்பது மற்றும் அதனால் ஏற்படும் இழப்புகளை ஈடுகட்டுவது.
