The legally required periodic evaluation of one who receives social security disability benefits to determine if that person continues to be disabled. The time between reviews depends on the beneficiary's age, type and severity of disability, and the chances of improvement. CDR requires a full medical review by the Disability Determination Service (DDS) and possibly a consultative medical exam.
