சமூகப்பணிக் கல்விக்கான குழு என்பது, சமூகப்பணிக் கல்வியின் தர அளவுகளை நிர்ணயிக்கவும், அதை நிலைநிறுத்தவும் சமூகப்பணிக் கல்வியாளர்கள், சமூகப்பணி தொழில் சார்ந்த அமைப்புகள், சமூக சேவை நிறுவனங்கள் மற்றும் சமூகப்பணி பயிற்றுவிக்கும் நிறுவனங்கள் அடங்கிய ஒரு சுதந்திர அமைப்பு. இதன் முன்னோடி அமைப்புகளான 1919 ஆம் ஆண்டில் நிறுவப்பட்ட CSWE அமைப்பும், 1936 ஆம் ஆண்டு நிறுவப்பட்ட சமூகப்பணிக் கல்வி நிறுவனங்களின் தேசிய அமைப்பும் (National Association of Schools of Social Administration - NASSA) ஒன்றிணைக்கப்பட்டு, 1952 ஆம் ஆண்டு தற்போதைய அமைப்பான சமூகப்பணிக் கல்விக்கான குழு (Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. சமூகப்பணி பயிற்றுவிக்கும் கல்வி நிறுவனங்களுக்கு அங்கீகாரம் அளிப்பது, ஒவ்வொரு வருடமும் மார்ச் மாதம் வருடாந்திர மாநாடு நடத்துவது, சமூகப்பணி பற்றிய புத்தகங்கள், துண்டுப் பிரசுரங்கள் வெளியிடுவது மற்றும் சமூகப் பணிக்கான பத்திரிக்கை ஒன்றையும் நடத்துகிறது.

An independent organization comprising social work educators, professional organizations, social agencies, and academic institutions for the purpose of establishing and maintaining standards in social work education. A predecessor organization of CSWE was established in 1919 and later became known as the American Association of Schools of Social Work (AASSW). Another group, the National Association of Schools of Social Administration (NASSA), was founded in 1936. In 1952 AASSW merged with NASSA to form CSWE. The organization is the primary body for accrediting schools of social work in the United States. CSWE also sponsors an annual program meeting every March in different cities and publishes books, pamphlets, and the Journal of Social Work Education. See also curriculum policy statement.
