மருத்துவம் மற்றும் சில காப்பீட்டு முறைகளில் காப்பீட்டிலிருந்து பெறத் தகுதியுள்ள இடரீட்டுத் தொகையைப் (reimbursement) பெறுவதற்கு, அந்தத் தொகையில் வரையறுக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு தொகையை காப்பீடுப் பயனாளி ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவேண்டுமென்ற நடைமுறை. முழு இடரீட்டு செலவுத் தொகையிலிருந்து கழித்த பின் கொடுக்கப்படுவதால் இது கழிவுத் தொகை எனப்படுகிறது.
