இது டிஸ்ப்ரக்ஸியா என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகின்றது. முன்னர் இது குறைந்த அளவிலான மூளைக்கோளாறு, செயல் நயமற்ற குழந்தைகளிடம் காணப்படும் அறிகுறி என்று அழைக்கப்பட்டது. இந்த நோய்க்குறி உள்ள குழந்தைகள் தங்களுடைய காலனி நாடாவைக்கூட கட்டமுடியாமலும், எழுதவும், பந்துவிளையாடவும் முடியாத செயல் திறன் குறைந்தவர்களாக இருப்பர்.

Inhibited motor skill development so that the child or adult seems poorly coordinated, clumsy, and awkward; the child falls behind peers in ability to tie shoelaces, play ball, or write. This disorder is not due to physical disability or mental retardation. The preferred term for this is motor skills disorder.
