Transmitting information about the results of an action to the individual who performed that action. This permits a more-objective evaluation of the action's effectiveness. It also permits modifications in the ongoing action to increase the likelihood of success. In social work administration, feedback is often used in supervision, personnel evaluations, client reports, and objective outcome evaluations to help social workers achieve desired improvements or to give them positive indicators when they are performing well.
