A process in which participants are role playing potential or actual life simulations in which problems must be resolved. The term “simulation” refers to an analogy to some process in the real world, however it is perceived. Unlike other role-playing situations, gaming has specified rules that are used to govern actions. There are “move rules” (which specify who can do what, with or to whom, and with what resources) and “termination rules” (which define who has won and when the game is over). Games and simulations, as herein defined, are social, as contrasted to such physical simulations as wind tunnels in aircraft-design centers.
