GANTT chart

A scheduling technique commonly used in social work and social planning to show graphically each of the activities of an organization and the time taken to complete each of them. For each activity, there is a horizontal line drawn under calendar dates, and a horizontal bar is drawn to show the duration of time spent on the task. Because the GANTT chart does not show interconnections between activities, the Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) chart tends to be used for more-complex planning.
