general medical condition

The relative health and presence of one or more diseases in a client. The term is used by psychiatrists and other physicians in diagnosing mental disorders that are the direct result of specific organic and physiological disorders, for example, “dementia, due to (the general medical condition of) Parkinson's disease.”
