சமூகப்பணியாளர்கள் தங்களின் வாடிக்கையாளர்களுடன் மனமார்ந்த ஈடுபாட்டுடனும் (நிஷ்கபடம்ற்று), நேர்மையுடனும் நடந்துகொள்ளும் தன்மை. உண்மைத் தன்மையென்பது போலிப் பெருமைக்கு இடம் கொடாமையும், பகட்டற்றும், தான் தோன்றித் தனமற்றும். எது தன்னால் சாத்தியமாகுமென்பதையும், தேவையற்ற உறுதி மொழிகளைத் தவிர்த்தும், தன்னுடைய எல்லைகளைத் தன்னிடம் வரும் வாடிக்கையாளர்களிடம் தெளிவுபடுத்தியும் இருக்கவேண்டும்.
