go-round

The procedure used in some social work groups in which each member is specifically asked, in turn, to discuss a particular topic or respond to a specific stimulus. Often the go-round is a structured exercise or technique aimed at helping members get acquainted and keep oriented to one another. It is also used to get a group started or establish the topics for the session's agenda. See also check-in.
