Group for the Advancement of Doctoral Education in Social Work (GADE)

The association of social work educators in the nation's doctoral programs. These educators began meeting in 1974 to synchronize their efforts to coordinate and standardize doctoral requirements. The organization became official in 1977, and its members now have annual meetings, conduct workshops, and prepare materials to assist doctoral programs in schools of social work.
