கொரில்லா யுத்தம் என்பது ஸ்பானீஷ் மொழி (சிறிய யுத்தம்) வார்த்தை. ஆயுதம் தாங்கிய பொதுமக்கள் அல்லது போராளிகள் வலிமை பொருந்திய இராணுவத்திற்கு எதிராக மேற்கொள்ளும் ஒழுங்கற்ற போர் நடவடிக்கை. இராணுவ உத்திகளைப் பயன்படுத்தி மறைவிடத்தில் பதுங்கி இருந்து தாக்குவது, நாசவேலையில் ஈடுபடுவது, சூறையாடுவது, தாக்கிவிட்டு ஓட்டம் பிடிப்பது, குட்டிப் போர்களில் ஈடுபடுவது, இராணுவம் போன்று மெதுவாக இயங்காமல் வேகமெடுத்து இயங்குவது போன்றவை இதன் அடையாளங்களாகும்.
