உலக சுகாதார அமைப்பின் கூற்றுப்படி ஆரோக்கியம் என்பது நோயற்ற பலவீனமற்ற நிலையல்ல. மாறாக அது முழுமையான உடல், மன, சமூக நலத்துடன் இருக்கும் (சேமமான) நிலை.
