நோயறிதல், சிகிச்சையளித்தல், மற்றும் நோயாளிகளை கவனித்துக் கொள்ளல் போன்ற கடமைகளில் ஈடுபடும் தொழில் வல்லுநர் / சிறப்புத் திறலினர், திறன்சார் உதவியாளர்கள், தொழில் நுட்ப வல்லுனர்கள், பொதுப் பணியாளர்கள் என்று பலதரப்பட்ட மனிதர்களைக் குறிக்கும் பொதுவான சொல்லாடலாக இருப்பினும், வழக்கத்தில் மருத்துவமனைகளில் பணியாற்றும் சிறப்புத் திறலினர் (மருத்துவர் மற்றும் செவிலியர்) அல்லாதவரையே இச்சொல் குறிக்கின்றது.

The generic name for all the professional, paraprofessional, technical, and general employees of a system or facility that provides for the diagnosis, treatment, and overall well-being of patients. Informally, this designation is more commonly used when referring to nonprofessional hospital staff. When referring to professionals other than physicians and nurses in such settings, the term most commonly used is allied health professionals or allied health workers. Those included in this designation are home health aides, medical records personnel, nurses aides, orderlies, and attendants.
