சர்க்கரை நோயின் ஒருவகை. இரத்ததில் சர்க்கரை அளவு உயர்வதைப் போலவே, சர்க்கரை அளவு குறைவதும் கண்டுகொள்ளப்படாமலிருந்தால் மயக்கம், அமைதியற்ற மனநிலை, அதிவியர்வை, வலிப்பு, மயக்கமடைதல் போன்ற அறிகுறிகள் காட்டும். மூளை மற்றும் நரம்புகள் செயல்பட போதுமான சக்தி (குளுகோஸ்) கிடைக்காமல் அவற்றின் செயல்கள் பாதிக்கப்படும்.
