எளிதில் ஆவியாகக் கூடிய, போதை உண்டாக்கக் கூடிய ஹைட்ரோ கார்பன் வாயுக்களை மூச்சு வழியாகத் திரும்பத் திரும்ப, கட்டாயமாக, உள்ளிழுக்கும் / சுவாசிக்கும் பழக்கத்திற்கு அடிமையாதல். கல்லெண்ணை (gasoline), பசை (glue), வர்ணக் கரைப்பான்கள் (paint thinners), வர்ணத் தெளிப்பான்களில் பயன்படுத்தப்படும் தள்ளுந்திகள், சூ பாலீஸ், டொலுவீன் மற்றும் ஹைட்ரோ கார்பனின் பல்வேறு கலவைகள் இதில் அடங்கும்.. நடுக்கம், தலைச்சுற்றல், செயல்திறனில் இழப்பு, மதி மயக்கம் அல்லது செயலின்மை (stupor or coma), தூக்கத் தொந்தரவுகள், வாந்தி, எரிச்சல், பிரமை போன்ற உடல் மனரீதியான பிரச்சனைகள் இதன் அறிகுறிகளாகும்.

Abuse or dependence on the reaction resulting from inhaling vaporous substances such as gasoline, glue, paint thinners, spray paints, cleaners, spray-can propellants, or their combinations. Symptoms of intoxication include tremor; dizziness; psychomotor retardation; stupor or coma; sleep disturbances; nausea; irritability; fleeting illusions; and family, school, or vocational problems.
