An office within the Organization of American States (OAS) devoted to the social development and welfare of North and South American children, adolescents, and families. With headquarters in Montevideo, Uruguay, the organization sponsors the Pan American Child Conference every four years and helps coordinate the child welfare policies and activities of OAS—member nations.
