உடலுக்கு தீங்கு விளைவிக்கின்ற பொருட்களை உட்கொள்வதாலோ / உட்செலுத்துவதாலோ உண்டாகும் மயக்க நிலை. மது மற்றும் சில மருந்துகள் இந்தப் பட்டியலில் அடங்கும். இதைப் பயன்படுத்துவதால் தற்காலிக பரவச நிலை, தெளிவற்ற பேச்சு, உடலியக்கங்களில் பழுதேற்படல், இணக்கமற்ற நடத்தைப் போக்கு, வேலைத்திறன் குறைதல், எதையும் மதிப்பிடும் திறனழிதல், சமூக உறவுகள் சீர்கெடுதல் போன்ற விளைவுகள் ஏற்படும்.
