IVD program

Interactive video program; a CD-ROM computer-assisted instruction program (CAI program) used by social workers and other professionals, especially in medicine, engineering, and the physical sciences. This program is used to simulate real situations and develop practice experiences under laboratory conditions. For example, social work students can try different interview techniques with simulated clients shown on a monitor and immediately see the consequences.
