LAMM என்பது ஆல்பா அசிடைல் மெதடால் என்ற இரசாயனக் கலவையின் சுருக்கப்பெயர். இது ஒபிய போதை மருந்து பழக்கத்திற்கு அடிமையானவர்களை மீட்டெடுக்க உபயோகப்படுத்தப்படும் முறி மருந்து. இதன் விளைவுகள் நீடித்திருப்பதால் இது மெதடோன் என்ற மருந்திற்கு மாற்றாக பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.

A chemical compound (L-alpha-acetylmethadol) used in the maintenance therapy of people addicted to an opiate drug. LAMM treatment is an alternative to methadone treatment. Because it is slower acting but longer lasting, the addicted person need not stay at or make daily trips to the methadone maintenance clinic.
