லீ போர்ட்டர் (1879-1939) - சமூகப்பணி பாடத்திட்டத்தை அர்த்தமுள்ளதாக்கவும், செழுமையாக்கவும் பாடுபட்ட அமெரிக்க சமூகப்பணிக் கல்வியாளர். அமெரிக்க சமூகப்பணிக் கல்லூரிகளின் கூட்டமைப்பு (American Association of Schools of Social Work (AASSW-1919) உருவாகக் காரணமாயிருந்தவர். சமூகப்பணி தொடர்பான பாடநூல்கள் பலவற்றைத் தனியாகவும், பிறருடன் இணைந்தும் எழுதியுள்ளார். இவரின் முக்கியமான புத்தகங்கள் மனநலமும் சமூகப்பணியும் (Mental Hygiene and Social Work) சமூகப்பணி தேவையும் செயல்பாடுகளும் (Social Work: Cause and Function).

Social work educator and leader in curriculum development for schools of social work, Porter helped organize the American Association of Schools of Social Work (AASSW) in 1919 and advocated the integration of multidisciplinary knowledge into social work. He wrote and was coauthor of many early social work textbooks including Mental Hygiene and Social Work and Social Work: Cause and Function.
