லின்டெமன், எடுவர்டு சி (1885-1953) - சமூகப்பணியின் முக்கியமான கோட்பாடுகளை எடுத்துரைத்த சமூகப் பணி கல்வியாளர்களில் முக்கியமானவர். நியூயார்க் சமூகப்பணிக் கல்லூரியில், 1924 - 1950 வரை பேராசிரியராகப் பணியாற்றினார். சமூகப்பணி கருத்தாக்கத்தில் இணைந்துள்ள சமூகம் என்ற வார்த்தையின் உண்மையான பொருள் உணரும்படியாக, உளவியல் சார்ந்த பிரச்சனைகளோடு சமூகம் சார்ந்த பிரச்சனைகளிலும் அக்கறை கொள்ளும்படியாக, சமூகப்பணி கோட்பாடுகளை ஒருங்கிணைத்து, முழுமையாக்கினார். அமெரிக்காவில் வயது வந்தோர் கல்வித் திட்டம் செயல்வடிவம் பெற இவர் பங்களிப்பு முக்கியமானதால் 'வயது வந்தோர் கல்வித்திட்டத்தின் பிதா' என்று பெருமைப்படுத்தப்படுகிறார்.

Social work theorist and educator at the New York School of Social Work from 1924 to 1950, he developed many of the conceptual foundations of community organization and social group work. He fought to keep the social context within social work during its movement toward intrapsychic concerns and sought to develop the integrated, holistic view of social work. He was also called the "father of adult education" in the United States. See also Lane Report.
