இருமனக் குழப்பச் சீர்கேடுகளில் தென்படும் மனவெழுச்சி வகை (மிகைப்படுத்தப்பட்ட சுயமதிப்பீடு, மிகை இயக்கம், பரவச நிலை, கவனச் சிதறல், அழுத்தமான பேச்சு, பகட்டுத்தனம்) போன்ற சாதாரண உணர்வு நிலையற்ற அறிகுறிகள் தொடர்ந்து நான்கு நாட்கள் நிலைத்திருப்பது.

A symptom found in some of the mood disorders, especially bipolar disorder, consisting of an abnormally and persistently elevated, expansive, or irritable mood lasting at least four days. This may include feelings of inflated self-esteem, grandiosity, pressured speech, flight of ideas, distractibility, and psychomotor agitation, all of which are a clear departure from the individual's usual mood and functioning.
