எந்தச் செயலிலும் ஆர்வமற்றும், எதிலும் மகிழ்ச்சியடையா நிலையில் இருப்பது. இயல்பாக மகிழ்ச்சி தரும் தூண்டல்களுக்கு எதிர்வினையாற்றாதிருப்பது. இதை இன்பதுன்பத்தைப் பகுத்தறிய இயலாமை (anhedonia) என்றும் கூறுவர். இந்த அறிகுறிகளை அதீத மனச்சோர்வுடைய அல்லது இருமனக் குழப்பச் சீர்கேட்டால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களிடம் காணலாம்
