mental health team

Professionals and ancillary personnel from several disciplines who work together to provide a wide range of services for clients (and the families of clients) who are affected by a mental disorder. Members of such teams include psychiatrists (who usually head them), social workers, psychologists, and registered nurses. In some psychiatric facilities the team members may also include physical and occupational therapists, recreation specialists, educators, personnel and guidance counselors, psychiatric aides, volunteers, and indigenous workers.
