மருத்துவர் பட்டம் பெற்றிராத, செவிலியர், மருத்துவச்சி, மருத்துவ உதவியாளர் போன்ற இடைநிலைப் பணியாளர்களைக் குறிக்கும் சொல். இவர்கள் மருத்துவரின் வழிகாட்டலில், அவருடைய கண்காணிப்பில், குறைந்த செலவில் மருத்துவ சேவை அளிக்கின்றார்கள்.

Health care practitioners who do not have medical degrees. These include the nurse practitioner, midwife, and physician's assistant. Midlevel practitioners provide medical services, generally under the supervision of a physician, at lower cost.
