வேலைக்குச் செல்லும் தாய்மார்கள், தங்களின் வேலையைவிடத் தங்களின் குடும்பத்தையும், குழந்தைகளையுமே அதிகமாக நேசிக்கின்றார்கள் என்பதை குறிக்கும் சொல்லாடல். இப்படியிருக்கும் தாய்மார்கள் தங்கள் பதவி உயர்வைப் பொருட்படுத்தாமலும், நிறுவன வளர்ச்சிக்கு குறைந்த அளவே பங்களிப்பு செய்கிறார்கள். இந்த நடத்தையைப் பின்பற்றும் ஆண்களை அப்பாவின் அடிச்சுவடு என்கிறார்கள்.

A term referring to the career path of some women who are viewed as placing their obligations to their children over those of their jobs. Those who are presumed to be on this path are often overlooked for promotions and given fewer opportunities to contribute to their organizations. When men espouse these priorities, they are said to be on a "daddy track."
