The volunteer social work organization, formally called the NASW Communications Network, Inc., that provides expertise on social work issues to the media and monitors the media to see that it represents social work fairly and accurately. Founded by Suzanne Dvorak-Peck during her term as NASW president, NCN grants its annual Si Award to the programs, actors, and producers nominated by social workers for contributing to the profession's positive image.
