objective tree

A technique in social policy analysis for graphically delineating the various goals of an organization and priorities to be used in their fulfillment. The administrator creates a box at the top of a page with the primary objective of the organization and below that lists in descending order the lesser objectives. The resulting diagram shows an inverted treelike figure that outlines serially the goals and their relative importance, permitting the administrator to establish the dates by which each objective is to be reached.
