பசிபிக் தீவுகள் என்பது பசிபிக் பெருங்கடலிலுள்ள 20000 க்கும் மேற்பட்ட சிறிதும் பெரிதுமான தீவுகளைக் குறிக்கும். இந்தத் தீவுகளிலும், பொலினீசியா, மெலனேஷியா, மற்றும் மைக்குரேனேசிய என்று அழைக்கப்படும் தீவுகூட்ட நாடுகளின் பூர்வீகக் குடிகளையும், இங்கிருந்து புலம்பெயர்ந்து பிறநாடுகளில் வசிக்கும் தீவர்களும் இந்தப் பெயரால் அழைக்கப்படுகிறார்கள். அமெரிக்காவைப் பொறுத்த மட்டில் ஹவாய் தீவின் பூர்வகுடிகள், அமெரிக்க கட்டுப்பாட்டிலுள்ள மார்ஷல், மரியானாஸ், குவாம் மற்றும் அமெரிக்க சமோவா தீவுகளின் பூர்வகுடிகள் இப்பெயரால் அழைக்கப்படுவர்.

Indigenous residents of and immigrants from the islands and islets in the Pacific Ocean, including those in the areas known as Polynesia, Melanesia, and Micronesia. In the United States, the term is most often applied to people native to Hawaii and to people from the U.S. Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, including the Marshall and Marianas Islands, and from Guam and American Samoa.
