ஏற்கெனவே சொல்லப்பட்ட ஒன்றை எளியமுறையில் அதன் பொருள் மாறுபடாவண்ணம் எடுத்துச் சொல்வது. சமூகப்பணியாளர் தன்னுடைய வாடிக்கையாளருடன் மேற்கொள்ளும் உரையாடலின் போது, வாடிக்கையாளர் சொன்ன செய்திகளில் / கருத்துக்களில் முக்கியமானவற்றைத் தொகுத்து 'இதைத்தானே சொல்ல வருகிறீர்கள்' என்று சுருக்கமாகச் சொல்லி, வாடிக்கையாளரின் ஒப்புதலைப் பெறஉதவும் முறை. இந்த முறை, தான் சொல்லியதை சமூகப்பணியாளர் சரியாகப் புரிந்துகொண்டார் என்ற நம்பிக்கையை வாடிக்கையாளரிடம் ஏற்படுத்தும்.
