நோயாளிகள் பாராமரிப்பில் ஈடுபட உரிமம் பெற்ற செவிலியர். இவர்கள் மருத்துவர்கள் அல்லது பதிவு பெற்ற செவிலியரின் மேற்பார்வையில், நோயாளிகளுக்கு உணவூட்டல், உடலைச் சுத்தம் செய்தல், மருந்து கொடுத்தல், மருத்துவ சோதனைகளைக் கண்காணித்தல் போன்ற அத்தியாவசியமான, அதிகத் தொழில்நுட்பம் சாராத பணிகளில் ஈடுபடுபவர்கள்.

A paraprofessional specialist in the care of people who are ill and in the maintenance of health and well-being. PNs complete training programs that last one year or more, after which they carry out important but less technical nursing duties such as administering medication, monitoring tests, and feeding and cleaning patients.
