அமெரிக்க தேசிய வீட்டுவசதி சட்டப்படி தேவைப்படுவோர்களுக்கு வாடகை உதவி அளிக்க ஒரு வரைவுத் திட்டம் தயாரிக்கப்பட்டு, அது செயல்படுத்தப்படாததால் பின்னர் அது வாடகை உறுதிச் சீட்டு திட்டமாக மாற்றப்பட்டது.

A provision in the Housing Act of 1964 (Pi. 88-560) authorizing rent subsidies for poor people. Even though the legislation passed, Congress never granted the funds. Renticare was replaced by the rental vouchers part of the Section 8 Housing program.
