சிதறல் வரைபடம்

புள்ளியியல் வரைபடம் என்பது ஆய்வின் நிமித்தம் தரவுகளைச் சேகரித்து, பகுப்பாய்வு செய்து அவற்றைக் காட்சிப்படுத்தல் என சுருக்கமாகக் குறிப்பிடப்படுகின்றது. சிதறல் படம் (Scatter plot) என்பது ஒரு கணித வரைபடம் ஆகும். இது இரு மாறிகள் கொண்ட ஒரு தரவின் போக்கினைக் குறிக்கும் கார்ட்டீசியன் தள வரைடம். இப்படம் தரவின் இரு மாறிகளுக்கிடையே உள்ள ஒட்டுறவு (correlation) அல்லது தொடர்புப் போக்கைப் (regression) புரிந்துகொள்ளப் பயன்படுகின்றது.

In social research, the depiction of the relationship between two variables or events on an x and y graph. Each dot represents an individual, a test score, or an event for both variables. How the dots are clumped or dispersed illustrates the relationship between variables. This is also known as a scatter plot.
