பள்ளி சமூகப்பணிக்காக தேசியச் சமூகப்பணி சம்மேளனம் வரையறுத்துள்ள தேசியத் தர நிர்ணய அளவுகோல்கள்களின்படி, கல்வித்தகுதியும் அனுபவமும் பெற்றவர்களுக்கு, தேசிய சமூகப்பணி சம்மேளனம் வழங்கும் வல்லுனர் அறிமுகச் சான்றிதழ் நடைமுறை. சமூகப்பணிக் கல்விக்கான குழுவால் (Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) அங்கீகரிக்கப்பட்ட கல்லூரியில் சமூகப்பணியில் முதுகலைப் பட்டமும், பள்ளி சமூகப்பணியில் 3000 மணிநேரப் பணி அனுபவமும் (விதிவிலக்கிற்கு உட்பட்டது), மேற்பார்வையாளரின் மதிப்பீடும், சமூகப்பணி சகாக்களின் பரிந்துரையும், தேசிய ஆசிரியர் தகுதித் தேர்வில் பள்ளி சமூகப்பணி பிரிவைத் தேர்வுக்கு எடுத்துக்கொண்டு தேறுவதும், சமூகப்பணியாளர் சம்மேளனத்தில் உறுப்பினராக இருப்பதும் பள்ளி சமூகப்பணித் துறை வல்லுனர் சான்றிதழ் பெறத் தகுதியாகும். இந்தச் அறிமுகச் சான்றிதழ் முறையால் தரமான, அனுபவம் மிக்க, மாணவர்களின் பல்வேறு பிரச்சனைகளைத் திறனுடன் கையாளத் தெரிந்த சமூகப்பணியாளரைக் கல்வியோடு தொடர்புடைய அனைவரும் இனங்கண்டுகொள்ள உதவுகிறது.

A program established by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) to identify school social workers who have met rigorous national standards for education and experience in school social work practice. Social workers are eligible for the SSWS credential if they obtain an MSW from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), have at least two years or 3,000 hours of supervised school social work experience (one year of a school social work practicum as part of the graduate training may be substituted for one year of supervised work experience), submit supervisory evaluations and professional references, and take the School Social Work section of the National Teachers Examination. It is not necessary to be an NASW member to apply for the credential.
