தன்னுடைய உடலைப் பற்றியும், அதில் தோன்றும் அறிகுறிகளைக் குறித்தும் அதீத கற்பனை செய்து மருளும் கோளாறு. உண்மை போன்று தோன்றும் இம்மருட்சி பல அறிகுறிகளைக் கொண்டிருக்கும். தன்னுடைய உடலுறுப்புகள் அளவானதாக சமச்சீராக இல்லையென்றும், உடலுக்குள் ஒட்டுண்ணிப் புழுக்கள் ஊறுவதாகவும், காதுக்குள் பூச்சிகள் ரீங்காரமிடுவதாகவும், உடம்பிலிருந்து துர்நாற்றம் வீசுவதாகவும் உண்மையிலே நம்பும் மனநிலை.

A subtype of delusional disorder characterized by nonbizarre delusions, particularly an intense concern about bodily functions or sensations. The delusion takes different forms, for example, the conviction that one is emitting a foul odor, is infested with internal parasites or insects, possesses ugly or misshapen body parts, or is afflicted with an undiscovered disease.
