பள்ளியில் மதிய உணவு பெற்று வரும் மாணவர்களுக்கு, கோடை பள்ளி விடுமுறையின் போது மதிய உணவு வழங்குவதைத் தொடர, அமெரிக்க வேளாண் துறை மற்றும் சுகாதாரம் மற்றும் மானுட சேவைத் துறை மூலமாக, 1968 ஆம் ஆண்டிலிருந்து செயல்படுத்தப்பட்டு வரும் பள்ளி மாணவர்களுக்கான சத்துணவுத் திட்டம்.

A federal-U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)-child nutrition program started in 1968 to provide lunches during summer vacation months for needy children who are dependent on the School Lunch program.
