1. குழந்தையைப் பிறப்பித்த பெற்றோராக இல்லாவிட்டாலும், தன்னார்வத்தாலோ அல்லது நீதிமன்ற உத்தரவுப்படியோ குழந்தைக்குப் பெற்றோராக சம்மதித்துப் பொறுப்புகளை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுதல். 2. தன் கருப்பையை இன்னொரு தம்பதியினரின் குழந்தையைப் பெற்றெடுக்கக் கொடுப்பவர் அல்லது தன் கருப்பையோடு தன் சினைமுட்டையையும் கொடுத்து ஒரு தம்பதியினர் குழந்தை பெற உதவுபவர் வாடகைப் பெற்றோர் எனப்படுவார்.
