மக்களைப் பற்றியும் குழுக்களைப் பற்றியும் பாரபட்ச மனோபாவமில்லாமலும், முன்னபிப்பிராயங்கள் (தப்பபிப்பிராயம் / எதிர்மறை கருத்துக்கள்) எதுவுமற்று ஒன்றைபற்றி ஆவனப்படுத்துதல் அல்லது செய்திகளைப் பரிமாறிக்கொள்ளுதல். எடுத்துக்காட்டாக மனிதர்களைக் குறிப்பிடும் போது, பாலின அடையாளச் சுட்டுப்பெயர்களைக் குறிக்காது, ஆண் / பெண் என்றோ, திரு, திருமதி என்றோ குறிக்காமல், அவர் அல்லது திருவாளர் என்று குறித்தல். போலீஸ்காரர் / போலீஸ்காரி என்று குறிக்காமல் காவலர் என்று குறித்தல். அதேபோன்று மனிதர்களைக் குறிக்கும் போது அவர்களின் இன / மொழி / மத அடையாளங்களைத் தவிர்த்தல்.

The use of language in the professional literature that avoids the promotion of stereotyped or discriminatory attitudes or assumptions about people. This includes avoiding male pronouns by using plural pronouns to avoid specific gender references, using nongender designations for occupations (police officer instead of policeman) and, when referring to an ethnic group, using the name that group itself prefers. Editors of virtually all social work publications maintain explicit policies against biased writing.
