சமூகத் தனியாளர் பணி அறிக்கையிடலில், வாடிக்கையாளருடன் உரையாடும் போது, அவரின் உரையாடலைச் சொல்லுக்குச் சொல்லாக அப்படிக்கப்படியே, வாடிக்கையாளரின் முக பாவனைகள், உடல்மொழி, குரல் தொனி போன்றவற்றை உன்னிப்பாகக் கவனித்து, வாடிக்கையாளரின் உணர்வுகளைப் படிப்பவர்களுக்கு புரியும்படியாக சுயவிளக்கமளிக்கும்படியாக அமையும் பதிவு முறை அல்லது அறிக்கையிடும் முறை. இது சமூகப்பணி பயிற்சிக்காகவும், சட்டப் பிரச்சனைகள் தொடர்புள்ள விசயங்களில் புரிதலை ஏற்படுத்தவும் பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டது. இப்படி ஒரு துல்லியமான அறிக்கையிடல், உரையாடலைப் பாதித்ததால், உரையாடலை எழுத்துவடிவப் பதிவாக ஆக்குவதற்கு பதில், தொழில் நுட்பத்தை பயன்படுத்தி ஒளிப்பதிவாகவும், ஒலிப்பதிவாகவும் செய்ய முனைந்தனர்.

In the social work case record, the process of writing down every word said in the interview and, to the extent possible, every gesture, expression, and tonal inflection so that the meaning is accurately conveyed. This process is used primarily for social worker training purposes or for legal issues in the interview and generally only in a single session or parts of sessions. It has become rarely used because it is distracting to the interview process and has been supplanted by the use of audio or video recording.
