இளம் பெண்களை சமூக, உடலியல் மற்றும் ஆன்மீக ரீதியாக வலுப்படுத்துவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டு செயல்படும் உலகளாவிய அமைப்பு. வேலைக்குச் செல்லும் பெண்கள் தங்கியிருந்த உண்டுறை விடுதிகளில் உருவான அமைப்பு. கிறிஸ்தவர் என்ற பெயரைத் தாங்கியிருந்தாலும் சகல பெண்களுக்கும் சேவை செய்யும் உலகளாவிய அமைப்பு.

The worldwide group of organizations devoted to educating young women spiritually, socially, and physically. These organizations originated in boarding houses for young women in London in 1855. The first YWCA in the United States was formed in Boston in 1866.
